Can you get tickets for different durations with a MYW package?

I just booked our MYW package with a free day included, and just realized I booked us all for 7 days but only need 6 days for my parents (who are sharing a room with two of my kids). Can I change the reservation so my kids have 7 days and my parents have 6 days, or do I need to make it for the same duration for all and change my kids' tickets once we get there? If we do the latter, where can you add a day to your tickets?

Everyone in one room has to have the same number of days on their tickets. You can book 6-day tickets and after check-in, add a 7th day for the kids' tickets. Once you check in, each person's ticket can be changed individually. So you could do this at the resort concierge, or at a ticket booth or guest relations at one of the parks.

This is correct, but keep in mind that you can only book fastpasses for the number of days on your ticket.

That said, an extra day is only worth $10 so it might be advantageous to just get everyone 7 days. As of last time I checked you could actually use the grandparents FP+s for the day they are not there as a little "cheat". Not sure if disney has closed this loophole yet though.
