I know theres no height requirement, after riding it before with it sort of whipping around I don't think I would feel safe bringing my infant on it, I remember the lines being crazy long & don't wanna spend a huge chunk of our day standing in it while one parent holds the baby... Has anyone successfully got a pass?

I don't think so. FWIW, I took my 4th month old on it.
I have a wrap that I can wear the baby... I wonder if that would work. I'm not sure if I would have to hold him in my arms or if they would be okay with me wearing him on my front.

No, sorry. Rider swap is offered at all attractions with height requirements, and no others.

This was two years ago (March 2014) so take it with a grain of salt, but I had the exact same concerns that you do and they let us do it. I was with my then six month old and didn't want her whipping around during the ride. I explained it to the CM at the FP line (while I was wearing her) and he let my husband and two sons ride and then let me give my husband the baby and allowed one of my sons to go back through and ride with me. We all had FP and it was all within our window. This was definitely not a Disney policy but rather a nice and understanding CM (who I think was a manager - he was not in costume and standing with the FP person). We had to do it back to back while they were there so they knew us, no coming back later, and they called back to the second FP person to let them know because they don't actually have the rider swap ticket for that ride. It was really nice of them and I appreciated being able to ride with one of my kids without worrying about the baby. I'm sure it all depends on who is there, but it is Disney and if you get a nice CM they might do it for you!
