My daughter was married last September on the Wonder.
They had a small (but nice) civil ceremony in a private room in the
DCL terminal before leaving the port.
They have a legal marriage license in the State of Florida, and one in the Bahamas.
They chose to have their wedding at
Castaway Cay, on the dock o the Heads Up Bar. The bar was shuttered down, and you would have never known it was a bar. Their pictures show the ocean, and the ship in the background.
The ceremony was a traditional ceremony (not just a brief little "I do") with prayer and all...officiated by the Administrator of the Bahamas. He had a beautiful voice.
DCL took many great photos, made a video with my camera, supplied music...it was wonderful.
The reception was at Palo, with cake, champagne & sparkling cider.
There is just too much to tell about in one post. I know that it was so unbelievably marvelous. Disney treated all of us like royalty.
We never even asked about be married onboard....out over the ocean was what they wanted. But they will alllow the ceremony onboard.....it was a possibility that her wedding may be held indoors, as we cruised during Hurricane Isabel. Happily, the weather was beautiful.
