Can you get fastpasses when staying offsite?

I have always stayed onsite but this time we will be offsite. I'm confused as to how and if I can get fasspasses at the 45+ day mark?
Has anyone been able to do so?

When you stay offsite, you are able to book FPs at 30 days out as long as you have tickets.

As long as you have tickets linked you can make FP's one day at a time beginning 30 days out
