Can you get cash on the ship?

Thanks. I got enough out to cover all tips and taxi and food in Nassau. The only place I might use my debit card would be in the Dooney shop or gift store at Atlantis or something like that. I actually found out yesterday that my card has been compromised at a retailer (they wouldn't tell me who) and they are sending me a new one.

Most likely Michaels arts & crafts stores, they are the most recent. Target was late last year but you probably would have already gotten a replacement for that by now. Unless there is another one about to hit the news.

Make sure you let the bank know that you will be using it out of the country and specifically in the Bahamas.

Thanks. I have put in a travel notice with my banks and where I will be and when. Now I don't want to use that card though. Yeah last year someone in London got my card (no clue yet how that happened), then I got my card replaced from the Target thing and now it is being replaced again. I thought of Michaels and usually never shop there but did stop in there the beginning of March and picked up a few things. Who knows. No way of keeping anything safe anymore. :sad2:

I'm not stressing though... I'm packing for vacation! Only 2 more day! :cool1::cheer2:

Do they dispense Bahamian dollars or US dollars? I realize that the exchange rate is always exactly $1.00 = $1.00, but Bahamian dollars are not spendable in the US. In most situations, an ATM in a foreign country is going to dispense only the local currency, but Nassau may be the exception.
We used a ATM both at the shops right when you enter Nassau and at Atlantis. You get US dollars. And there is also a bank near the Mc Donald's a short walk from port.
