Can you get a counter service meal at the Boardwalk??

Would love to know this too! We got the dining plan, but there doesn't appear to be too many CS options at Boardwalk, kinda regretting getting it.

Boardwalk Bakery and Spoodles Pizza window are CS locations

Spoodles Window is no longer listed as a CS place. It is listed on this board, but not on allears or in disney's own brochure. I wish it was.

Wow, that stinks. Thanks for the heads-up. It was listed on allears just week or so ago and we were planning on going there for CS.
Anyone know when (or why) they pulled out of the plan?

Even though the Boardwalk has the Boardwalk Bakery and another stand for counter service foods which can't remember the name, I don't consider it to be a true counter service location like the Food & Fun Center at the Contemporary, Captin Cooks at the Polynesian and Gasparilla Grill & Games at the Grand Floridian because they don't have any seating inside the way those locations do. So it's because that which is why family and I don't think we will ever stay at the Boardwalk.

We were just at the BW. The CS options really stink there. The pizza window use to offer great meatball heros, salads, calzones. Then they changed the menu to pizza only. They do not take the DDP, neither do any of the kiosks on the BW. Yes you can walk over to BC and eat CS at Hurrican Hannahs, or walk over to MGM, or Epcot. But really, who wants to do that when they are hanging by the pool? I'm not going to shlep over to the BC in my wet bathing suit just to get a burger. The only CS option on the BW is the BW bakery. On our first day there we just paid OOP for BW To Go. The food is good, they offer hot dogs, fries, chicken fingers, onion rings. Still, we are on the DDP and had to pay OOP. We ate CS at the BW bakery on our last day. They offered panini sandwhiches. The kids only had a choice of pb&j which my kids do not eat. We ordered 2 turkey paninis and DD took 2 bites and it was thrown away. The sandwhiches were big, and DH ate half of the other one and said it was OK. They did have ceasar salad on the menu which looked good. But how many of those can you eat?:confused3 We felt the options for CS are so limited here. Oh, and forget about trying to get snacks at the screen door, the store there. Nothing is marked like at the BC Marketplace and no one has a clue what is considered a snack credit. We had to just pick something and hope it went through. We got charged twice for something and were just annoyed by it all. FYI, you can get a 2 liter bottle of soda here for 1 snack credit. The BW was always my favorite resort because of the location and rooms. Not anymore. The location just doesn't make up for the lack of CS options, wether you are on the DDP or not, and the condition of our villa this time. Sad to say but we will not stay here again for awhile.

Oh, no I was afraid of this. :sad2: I can't understand why Boardwalk To Go isn't a CS option on the DDP. It serves the same foods as other CS places.

The boardwalk bakery is one of my favorite CS's. We had awesome sandwhiches and desserts. Everything was huge too. This year, I plan to share with DS. We wasted way too much food last year.
