Can you get a AAA diamond parking pass if you don't book trip through AAA?

We already have our trip booked through Disney for free dining next summer, but was just wondering if my AAA membership will still allow for getting the parking pass?

Not sure but I know you can transfer your reservation to AAA and get the benifits.

Check with your AAA office. The various offices have different criteria for handing out the Diamond parking passes.

In our area you have to book your package through AAA to get the parking pass. It comes in the booklet with all your trip info. I have called several offices in this area and no one would give it out without a trip booking. We had our Aug. trip booked but switched it to AAA to get their room discount since Disney doesn't have anything out for our time frame and since we are deluxe only the room discount is better than free dining for us (not that it is being offered for our dates). My suggestion would be to call your local offices and see what they say - you can always transfer the reservation to them.

Seriously??? You do realize that this type post is in violation of board guidelines, right???? You are recommending ways to go around stated policy. And it is against AAA policy to buy a AAA parking pass anywhere!!! And it is against AAA policy to transfer the passes. So....buying one on eBay is against two stated policies.

I am going to close this thread. But first.....while the Diamond Parking pass does allow you to park a 'bit' closer to the park entrances, it really isn't 'all that and a bag of chips' people. I have been in a car that was able, legally, to use this parking pass. Yes, we parked a bit closer. But it wasn't as if we hopped out of the car and then walked over to bag checks!!! It put us, maybe, about 45 secs closer to the front entrances. And for me, that's just not worth trying to get around policy...or paying for something that someone else got free!!!!

And with that, we are done.
