DH wants to visit SeaWorld & Universal while we're in FL next Oct.
I of course want Disney since we'll be staying at the WL on points. Im thinking 2 SeaWorld days, 1 Universal, 3 Disney and night of Halloween party.
We were last at Disney Oct 02, last time SeaWorld & Universal 96

I think so, but I'd probably only do a day at SeaWorld, unless you're going to do one of their fabulous tours (Sharks Deep Dive is incredible!).

There's never really enough time at Disney, is there? Even if you spend the whole week, you'll wish it were 10 days. After 10 days, you'll wish it were 2 weeks, and so on.

Have a great trip! Sounds like you've got some good fun planned.

Yes, I think you will feel like you did Disney in 3 days and 1 night at MK.

I agree with the other poster though that I would cut Seaworld to 1 day. When you go to Universal will you only do Universal or will you try to do IOA as well? At the gate you can get a one day 2 park hopper! Or you can cut Seaword back and do 2 days at Universal; one day at each park.

I think if I was only doing 3 days, I'd skip one park. My choice would be AK. I'd have to do a day at MK besides MNSSHP because our DD's LOVE MK. That leaves 2 days. I'd then do MGM, our second favorite park. Then probably Epcot for Mission Space and Test Track OR AK for the safari, 3-D movie, and Lion King show. You could possibly do AK in the morning and Epcot in the afternoon/evening. Of course, this all depends on which parks are your favorite and if you have little ones!

Have fun planning and deciding!

Seaworld can almost certainly be done in a day or less. I would only do one day there, and split teh other two days between Universal and Islands of Adventure. Islands is slightly better than Universal. You can usually buy a 2 day pass to go to both US and IOA.

Trying to squeeze WDW into 3 days is like trying to squeeze Texas into Rhode Island. I would sure have fun trying though. ::MinnieMo

We just "did Disney" in FOUR days plus MNSSHP. More time would have been great, but we don't feel cheated.

Take advantage of that MNSSHP ticket! On the advise of other DISers, we arrived at MK between 5:00 and 5:30 on the night of the party and stayed until nearly midnight. We did almost an entire MK day that night!

You can get a lot of great advice on the DIS that will allow you make efficient visits to each park. I'd give Epcot and MGM a day and leave AK around mid-afternoon to pick up what you missed at MK at MNSSHP.

I always do WDW in three days or less - next trip is only for two days. I always come away feeling like I "DID" Disney. I know this is not the way most people like to do it, but it keeps it fresh each year for me. I get to do things every year that I may have not gotten to in the last trip. But I also get to hit highlights. In doing it in short trips you do have to perform triage on what parks you want to do in depth - i.e. AK can be done in a half day leaving some time for Epcot, MK has to have a full day at least, and Epcot if you want to do a full tour of WS needs a full day too, MGM can also be a half day if you want it to be. I never feel I have to do everything in one trip. But we do go every year so its not a "once-in-a-lifetime trip" for me. I have to hit MK every time, I went to AK for the first time three years ago and went back last year, I hit Epcot every few years in depth (rather than just highlights) and realize how much I missed it. I personally like to feel like I am seeing something I have never seen before while at WDW. You just have to be focused on what you want to accomplish in the time allowed and also be aware that everything takes longer while at the World.

The real reason why I don't do more days is that I am a beach fan and a HUGE IOA fan but that has taken a back seat to my new DS who needs to be indoctrinated properly into all things Disney. If you have not been to IOA - BY ALL MEANS GO! Especially if your children are teens. If they are younger than 10, it may not be for them. And the fact that you are staying on property means you will not miss out on Disney magic even though you go off-property for a little while.

My favorite childhood memory - even though I was a Disney addict - was being kissed by Shamu!

:earsboy: WELCOME to the DIS raze!:earsboy:

Yes you can do this and not feel cheated!:) I've done a couple days and a party and gotten a Disney fix although I feel cheated everytime I have to come home!!! ;) If you're staying at WL the Disney magic will be around you you entire stay!

I agree with the others on only one day at Seaworld. Two days instead at Universal so you can do Studios and IOA.

My family usually does other things while in Florida other than Disney. We drive to the beach,do Gatorland...my son Erich LOVES that place, and on our last trip we spent several days at our friends house just hanging out.We like to do other Diisnye things than just the parks.Resort hopping, mini golf and DTD Marketplace our some of our favorites.

We just did it in October. Keep in mind that depending on the date some parks close fairly early.

Here's what we did:
Sunday Night - MK MNSSHP
Monday - sleep in
- MGM at 10:30am until closing after Fantasmic

Tuesday - MK from opening to closing. Did Family Magic Tour at 10am, and lunch at Cindy's castle.
- O'Hana's for dinner (MK closed at 6pm - no fireworks)

Wednesday - AK - full day
- 5pm went to Epcot - rode MS and TT and dinner at Garden Grille, stayed to watch Illuminations

Thursday AM - hotel pool, Downtown Disney, then home.

The only thing we didn't get to was WS, and most of FW at Epcot, which was our choice as we wanted to spend a whole day at AK.

Did we feel cheated - absolutely not!
With some good planning we did most highlights and then some!

Have a great time!
