Hi i've been to WDW many times and know lots of the fab and secret free things you can do eg. Chip and Dale sing along at the campground and have my first trip to DLP coming up and am wondering if there's anything like this that they offer here????
Thanks in advance to all you DLP experts :thumbsup2

Chip and Dale had a little show in WDS in the summer. It was around lunch time or early afternoon and was very cute. They danced and sang songs and then their girlfriend joined them;)

My girls loved it!

The characters are in each disney hotel every morning and also usually mid afternoon. Anyone can visit any hotel to see the characters.

DD had a great time with Mickey at HNY in summer- all the children were sat round in a circle then he got some up to dance individually, then lots of teh children together.

We also saw Pluto at S Lodge at Christmas - he was trying to teach children a dance to "Just liked we dreamed it" but no one seemed to want to join in. I think (looking at the suitcases about) quite a few of the children there had just arrived and didnt know the song. DD didnt want to be the only one joining in so she just kept going for hugs and photos instead

Really i would of joined in...i know the dance :cloud9: :rotfl:

When we went last we stumbled across a mini character show followed by signing session at the Disneyland hotel lobby / stairs. It was at about 4 p.m. - I'd ask at the desk for the time. It wasn't publicised so not very busy at all and was great as a break from the parks (you can walk from the turnstiles to the DLH lobby in a minute)

Fab thanks .. Any secrets in the parks that i should know about? Am taking 3 children that have never done any Disney so all the best things please :thumbsup2

Thanks for that :thumbsup2 i had found that 1 ... Am looking for extras too! LIke in wdw you can do the campfire sing along with Chip and Dale ... anything along those lines i just can't seem to find anything

Sorry, there isn't anything like that at DLRP. It's just not on the same scale as WDW.

Whereabouts are you staying??

Hi Erin,

there is entertainment of sorts during peak period evenings at Davy Crockett - there is "Indian face painting", kids play along drumming, and sometimes the characters have a dance involving all the kids - none of it is scheduled though.... if you ring the "hotel" they may be able to tell you a bit in advance.... The main characters - Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Pluto - as well as Chip and Dale are around most evenings there too. All are in their Western Country type outfits - they come out singly or in pairs through the evening if it is dry....

So, no, not scheduled, but there are bits that you may stumble on..... Davy Crocketts has a great restaurant with 3 course buffet too...

In the Downtown area (MUCH much much smaller than WDW) there is often something happening in the street too - we watched south american musicians who involved the kids in their dancing, also some other magic and music type acts - all the ones we saw were 7 o clock ish - there may have been more later, but we have young kids, so didn't hang around...

It's a lot smaller than the US empire - and I like the feel of that, but it does mean there is less free planned entertainment.

Cheers,
Tessa
