Ok kinda silly but I want to make sure...

If I grab some snack stuff/lunch in the airport, can we eat it on the bus? We land at 11am and family is NOT going to be able to wait!

We're collecting our own luggage, because I have to! :) and I didn't want to transport back to food, eat then board unless I have to! ;)

No, you cannot.

You'll either need to stop and eat at the airport, wait until you get to the hotel, or bring food to eat on the plane (which is what I would do.)

Depending on what airline you are flying in on, you may have to criss cross the airport anyway. If you do, you may as well stop and grab something to eat before heading down to the bus.

We're Southwest, so I think we have to take the MCO monorail...

Yeah we'll just grab food there...

Can I pack snacks to carry on the plane? Or can you only bring food that was purchased after security?

You can bring snacks and even food on the airplane. Just be careful with anything you bring from home--nothing liquid will be allowed, unless it is in your 3-1-1 baggie. So no applesauce, or fru it cups with liquid. But a turkey sandwich is ok, as long as the mayo and mustard are already on it.

You can take whatever food you want on the plane. Just be aware that liquid or gel condiments like mayonnaise, peanut butter, cream cheese, etc. can not be brought on separately (unless they fit the carry on requirements,) but they can be part of what you're bringing on.

For instance, you can bring a ham sandwich with mayo and mustard on it, but you cannot bring a plain ham sandwich with a jar of mayo and a jar of mustard and assemble it on the plane.

Hehe... I won't be doing that, but it would be kinda funny to see! :P

I only wanted like Cheerios, granola bars, etc. for DD to chew and help avoid the "ear pop"!

One time I was in BWI and there was a woman by herself in the terminal (past security) at our gate. She brought out a GIGANTIC tupperware tub of spaghetti. Then she set out five plates and heaped spaghetti onto all of them. There was NO ONE else with her. Then, surrounded by these plates of spaghetti on the seats and suitcases near her, she put up her bare feet on a suitcase and dug in to her plate of spaghetti. We never saw anyone else come by to eat the other four plates of spaghetti, and we were there for an hour. The whole gate/boarding area reeked of it.

This really happened, I have pictures.

Don't be Spaghetti Lady.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! No... I don't think I'll be Spaghetti Lady! What I'll end up being is McDonald's for lunch Mom! (or the like!)... I forget what MCO has for "faster food" not necessarily "fast food"(I am NOT a MD's fan!)... maybe we can grab a wrap or sub or something!!!

Gluttonous (after finishing one plateful she took another plateful and started to eat that) or very wasteful (she did not eat any of the other 4 platefuls).

They don't want you eating while riding Magical Express but no doubt someone has from time to time nibbled on something during that ride.

A few thoughts.....everyone rides the MCO 'monorail'...it goes to all four gate areas. When you get off, you'll pass by places to eat. There are a ton of options. But, I tend to bring stuff to eat on the plane. You've gotten good info here, so I don't need to elaborate.
Officially, there is no eating on any Disney transportation...either DME or the resort to park buses.

It is always 'tricky' to plan what to bring to eat when flights get in close enough to lunch but not at lunch! I would pack some dry snacks for on the plan and maybe a piece of fruit. Get a bottle of water once in the terminal and then if still needed grab a wrap at the other end to eat before boarding the bus. Its all about keeping the little ones happy and occupied. Nothing worse that a kid who is over hungry - or an adult for that matter!
