In our Dining Plan there are restaurants listed that are not in our resort are you allowed to go to other resorts and eat at the restaurants there? And go the dinner shows there?

yes - you can eat anywhere... pretty much the only important thing to remember is that to eat in a park restaurant you will need a ticket to get in to the park..

Absolutely! It's a great way to see the other resorts. Animal Kingdom Lodge, the Contemporary, the Poly, Wilderness Lodge . . . all have good restaurants and are wonderful to visit and soak up the unique theming.

Don't forget that some of them are pretty popular, so make your reservations sooner rather than later -- you can always try to change them later.

I would echo what has all ready been said, eating at the restaurants at the other resorts is a great way to experience the atmosphere of the resorts. And most of them are great restaurants. Just make sure that in planning you take into consideration transportation to and from the resort. If you are staying onsite and don't have a car, remember that the buses don't go directly from one resort to another. You will need to transfer. That being said, the resorts on the monorail line are easy to get to and from because you just need to get to the MK and take the monorail. Have a great time. We are just 52 days from our trip and we are getting more and more excited with each passing day, especially now that I am looking out my window at 12-16 inches of freshly, if not blown wind, snow!!! :cool1:

True!! If you are using Disney transportation then you need to decide if it is "worth it" using precious park time to travel to a resort. The only exception to this is the Epcot resorts coming from Epcot. It is a simple 5 minute walk from the World Showcase over to the resorts.

It's a great way to see a resort before you decide to stay there  We've done it before, don't be afraid to use the bus services from the parks to the hotels they run very regularly just allow enough time to get there before your ADR time.

Yes go and eat your heart out.
