If you go to dinner at CM's, can you ride the monorail around MK and EP afterwards without having to bother with tickets? We actually will have tickets for that day, but I'm looking for something just relaxing for our first night, and it sounds like the scanner thing for the tickets can be kind of a pain. Do you have to change monorails to go from the resort to the MK? I'm pretty sure you have to change monorails if you want to go from MK to Epcot, right? And does the monorail sort of circle Epcot, since there is no train that circles the property there like in MK?

You do not need any tickets to ride the monorails.

There are 3 monorail loops.

Resort - stops: TTC/Poly/GF/MK/CR
MK - stops: TTC/MK
Epcot - stops: TTC/Epcot

Yes, you can ride the monorail without using park admission. we do this sometimes on our first night too. It is a fun way to start your trip. Ask to sit up front. It is really cool.
No, the monorail does not really circle all of Epcot , but it does give you a pretty good view of most of the park, as it sorta circles Future World.
Yes, you will have to change monorails after you do the resort/MK loop if you want to go to Epcot.
Have a great trip!

Sure, you can stay on the monorails all day if you want!

The MK resort monorail stops at the MK main gate, Contemporary, TTC, Poly, and GF. If you want to go to Epcot you can take the monorail from the Contemporary to the TTC and switch to the Epcot monorail.

The Epcot monorail loops around Spaceship Earth and back out again.

Good luck!

Yes you can ride the monorail. It will take you by the POLY, GF and MK. You will not need to use a ticket or use the scanner. To take the monorail to EPCOT you will have to change at the TTC. The EPCOT monorail does not go completely around the park just over the ticket and entrance.

Riding the monorail is fun. Don't forget to ask if you can ride up front.

Riding the monorail loops is one of things we did on our first night. It helped get everybody hyped (well I was already hyped lol) for the next day. Especially my aunt who had never been and didn't know what to expect at all. Even though I had explained, it doesn't sink in until you see it. She liked that ride so much she wanted to do it again before we left. So yes you can absolutely ride the rails and I would say go for it!

Have fun! :flower:
