If I use points to reserve a studio, can I upgrade to a 1 bedroom with DVC cash discount?

I'm not exactly sure, but I somehow doubt it, since I believe the inventory would come from different sources. I think the cash ressies are from the CRO inventory.

NO. You can book some days with cash and others with points but you might have to move. If you're a member and book cash days through DVC directly, these reservations can be linked to points reservations and you won't have ot move units.

Dean, does that mean you CAN book cash ressies through MS?

I am fairly sure that it has to be all points or all cash.. one will have to cancel the studio ressie to release it to inventory, and have a new ressie for the one bedroom. I would imagine it would be a bookkeeping nightmare for MS, and they would have to define a monitary value to the points variable from season to season, etc..

A member can book cash reservations through MS subject to availability. I assume this comes from inventory given up by members for exchange options. There may be a 25% discount at times. Just because CRO has a unit, doesn't mean there will be availability through MS, the inventories do not overlap.
