The 11 month reservation is tied to the points, not the owner making the reservation. Even though you own at SSR, you can't make SSR reservations at 11 months with VB points. The SSR points can only make a SSR reservation at 11 months. The VB points can only make a VB reservation at 11 months.
For the trip you're talking about, assuming you want two-bedroom villas, you'd need approximately 155 SSR points and 72 VB points.
If you're planning to split the points between both families evenly, it isn't going to work unless you make the reservation at the 7 month point. Then, it doesn't matter which resort the points are for. At that point, you can have your friends transfer you 113 points and make the entire reservation. Of course, you're in competition with everyone else at the 7 month point.
VB will probably be the more difficult place to get into. You can have your friends make the VB reservation at the 11 month point, then transfer you the balance of 41 points. Make your SSR reservation at the 7 month point using your 114 points and their 41 transferred points.
If you're thinking about making the SSR reservation at 11 months and then just saving the points they transfer to you, keep in mind that you can't bank transferred points. You'd need to use them before the end of their use year.
