Hi when we go to WDW we only have 10 days so my sister who has been to wdw this year suggested that we only spend 1 day at MK, so we can spend more time doing things unique to WDW, such as Epcot and AK.

we have disscused just doing the rides and shows at fantasyland which are not at DLRP and toon town, splash mountain and pirates?

we are going in february which I think is before the American holiday so it should not be that busy.

Also my Dsister loved Epcot so we will probably spend a few days here, is there lots of characters meet and greets to keep my daughter happy? I saw on the DVD they had Mulan and Jasmine at Epcot are they there regulary as it would be lovely for DD to meet them.

Also anything we should give a miss at MGM to save time?

I know that 10 days is not really enough though me and my sister both have final exams so can't really afford the time.

It's all so personal. I'd happily spend all my time at MK and MGM and just make a token visit to AK and Epcot (my kids don't like Epcot too much). Other people just love Epcot and AK.

Maybe you could spend one day (or even a half day if you have hopper tickets) at each park and then decide which you want to see more of and replan accordingly once you are there.

TBH we found we got a bit sick of the crowds and strollers in MK after a day on our last trip. We did the Keys To The Kingdom tour and left a couple of hours later after doing a few favourites (POTC, HM etc) We spent a full day there on our first trip and really felt as if we'd got the most out of it then than we ever will again and that it was a lot like Disneyland Park in DLP anyway. We tried to do a second day last year but ended up in Epcot by lunchtime, there and MGM are definitely my favourite parks over MK though I wouldn't miss it out altogether: I just prefer it in short bursts!
This is just how we found it though, I know everyone has their own favourite parks and attractions :goodvibes

WDW is a completely different beast to DLP. Do not base your touring plans on avoiding things you have done in Paris. Off the top of my head I cannot think of an attraction that is identical in both parks.

10 days is long enough to give each park the time it deserves. :)

I would invest in Tourguide Mike as he will set out the best touring plans for you. If you stick to these plans you can be back by the hotel pool by 2pm & recharge for the evening!
You didn't mention the ages of your party but I guess if Toon Town is on the agenda you must have youngsters with you?
Epcot is a great park for adults but they do accommodate the kids as well, for instance at each "country" in World showcase there is a funspot for kids where they can make a mask and add to it at each country. Mine loved doing this (in fact I would have loved a go myself:artist: )
Whatever you end up doing you will love it & want to come back (after 8 years of regular visits there's still stuff on our list of things to do!!!)
Enjoy your hols :wave2:

my dd will be 6 and my sister will be 18,

I don't think you could do everything that the MK has to offer in just a day. Especially taking into account crowds, afternoon parade, meal breaks, toilet breaks etc. It would certainly be a long day if you want to take in a Spectromagic parade and Wishes fireworks in the evening.
You may be able to plan it right to get a few Fastpasses for the major attractions, but if it's busy Fastpasses return times will be later in the day or even run out.

Hi there

You, your DD and your DS need to have a sit down with a guide book and make a note of the things you want to do and work your touring around that. See if there are things you don't fancy. It would be horrible just to give the MK one day and miss out on things you would all love :)

I know this tends to infuriate many of you, but having done both MK's (DLP and WDW) I still believe MK at DLP to be far superior to WDW, mainly because its a lot newer. I would certainly still do a day at MK WDW and if poss stay for wishes but IMHO 1 day will be plenty and you really must leave yourself enough time for the other parks. I would also like to add that a couple of my friends who have also done both felt exactly the same!
