I am planning a trip to Orlando in Sept. and would like to goto universal studios but I am beginning to run out of days in our vacation. Is it possible to do both parks in one day? I want to be able to ride all the rides.

If you know where you're going, yes. If you don't know where you're going but plan ahead very well, yes. If you just wander in cluelessy, no. Get there early and be prepared to move quickly from one point to the other.

Also, avoid the weekend. Would help greatly if you stayed on site so you have front of the line privileges.

Get up early and stay on track, you could probably pull it off.

We have done both parks in one day. In fact, we did it two years in a row. We could not have done it without Express Pass, but we were there in Summer peak. Be there before opening and expect to stay until they run you out.

We just did both parks in one day the Sunday before Thanksgiving. We were off-site this trip, and I was a little worried, but we had NO problems at all. We arrived very early, too early actually, so were there for rope drop. Went to US first and straight on Rip, Ride, Rocket. Then we did all the major attractions there (rides, not shows). Had lunch at Mels, and were at IOA shortly after. We rode all major rides (not Bluto's or Ripshaw) and were done well before dinner. I was amazed, but we never waited more than 20 minutes and less than that for most rides. All this was without the Express Pass.

In September your chances are very good to be able to ride all the major rides in both parks. Like Purseval said, make sure you plan it out and know which ones you really want to ride.

I'm curious as to how WWoHP will possibly change the ability to do both parks in a single day and still get your money's worth due to the increased crowds...especially for first timers. Just because it could be done in the past doesn't mean it can be done in the future. Just something to think about. :rolleyes1

I could be wrong but like metro with WWOHP opening I too think the days of being able to do both parks in a day will be over and I hope I am wrong :thumbsup2

This year and next I opine that the days of doing both parks in a day are through without Express Pass. Also, you are cheating yourself if you don't see the Horror Makeup show and the Terminator show at US.(my opinion)

Well I have 3 kids and they are going to want to ride all the kids rides and I definately want to be able to see terminator and maybe some other shows. Im just going to have to fit 2 days in lol
