Can you Decrease the number of people in a Dining Ressie?

Coming up on our 60 day mark, but my daughter and her fiance are not sure if they will be able to join us on the trip. If I make ressies for 5 of us, am I able to modify them before our trip to include only 3 people if they are unable to come? And what does that do to the "charge per person" that I have to pay upfront for some of the reservations? TIA

Don't worry about downsizing your ADR. If you book for 5 and show up with 3, there's no penalty at all. The penalty is applied only if no one shows up at all.

If you have ADRs you have to pay up front for, your CC will be credited at the time of the ADR, when you have only 3 people seated but have paid for 5. If you find out days in advance that they're definitely not coming, you can call and downsize your ADR, but I must confess I'm not sure whether you'll get a credit at that time or will have to wait for your actual ADR.
