Can you choose when to leave on Magical Express?

Hi, hoping someone can help me clarify this.

We have All Star Music reservations for December 14-22. Our return flight home is on the 23rd at 8am.

On the 22nd, Magic Kingdom is open until Midnight.

Is it possible for us to check out at ASM, have them hold our luggage while we go to Magic Kingdom for the day, then get a Magical Express ride to the airport around Midnight-1am? Our plan is then to stay at the Hyatt in the airport and fly out the next morning.

Basically my question is, is it possible to choose when you take the Magical Express back to the airport, or is that determined by your return flight?

Thanks for any help!

It is based on your flight home but you can go earlier if you like, just not later than scheduled.

The only issue is that, as far I can tell from Flight Aware, the last scheduled flight leaves MCO at 11:30pm (Jet Blue to Mercedita), so the last scheduled DME bus is going to around 8:30pm (assuming there are people on that flight - or you say you are). So, while you can get an earlier bus, you are going to have trouble getting a bus that leaves WDW around midnight. The earliest scheduled flight is 5:15am (US Airways to Charlotte), so the earliest bus would be around 2:15am (again, assuming that there are people on that flight or you say that you are).

You can go anytime you want but you still need to let DME know you need the ride.
EXP: If you want a later time and miss your plane, not Disney's fault, I know they didn't ask this but you can request anytime.

Just make sure DME knows your going eariler because if your the only ones that might be on the bus DME won't know to pick you up if you didn't book it.:goodvibes

When I booked ME online it just asked for flight information. Do I need to contact Meers/ME directly or does Disney handle scheduling?

Call them directly. Tell them you need to be at MCO for 12:30. You would need to get back to Pop by 11:15ish though. You might be able to get on a bus around 11:45 or midnight.
If that isn't an option, take a cab there, if you really want to spend the night at MCO. I would stay at Pop and just take DME back around 5ish in the morning. You could stay at MK until about 11ish, bus back to Pop, get about 4.5 hrs sleep and then go to MCO.

Ideally I would love to just stay that night at Disney, but since it's Christmas prices it's about $240 for the night at All Star Music versus $89 at the Hyatt in MCO. :-(

If you check out on the 22nd, when your resort reservation ends, you have to be on a bus no later than midnight. Now, whether or not that is possible, only DME can tell you.
I might consider either forgoing EMHs that night and going right to the airport on DME, or if you really want to do part of the EMHs, then go ahead and then take the bus back to your resort and get your bags and then get a cab back to the airport if no bus is available.

I tried to do this once... Good LUCK!

They basically would only take me to a "flight" In other words since there is no 1 AM flight they aren't taking you to MCO at midnight. It's not really set up that way.

They will take you back to pick up a car etc, but they would not do this late night shuttle service. :)

How are you getting $89 at the MCO Hyatt around Christmas time ? I'm looking at the first of Nov and the prices are over $200.
