Just decided to rent from an "unknown" - and sent the money their way via paypal. When everyone talks about trust - boy, you sure do mean it!

And of course this is my very first time renting! Any suggestions on what I should be expecting to happen now that they have the cash in hand?

Did you actually sign a contract with this person because I would think that would be spelled out in the contract.

If you have a reservation number, you can call member services for DVC and verify that a reservation has been made in your name. They wont tell you much else, but will verify that for you.

Also, the person that made the ressie should be sending you a copy of the conformation in your name that will show dates, your name and which resort.

I see that you've had another more informed reply, I just wanted to wish you pixie dust, and to tell you that you'll probably have a magical time, love DVC so much that you'll soon be looking to own DVC yourself!
