Can you buy the tickets (and how?) or do you only get them by buying a vacation package?

It sounds like fun and something I ....I mean my DD...would enjoy! :rotfl:

You can get TTMM tickets by booking a package directly through WDTC, or agencies that use WDTC (AAA, Costco). You can find them for sale on ebay and there is a running list here on this board for people requesting unused TTMM tickets. I'll see if I can post the link.

Here's the last page of the list: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1594648&page=39

Looks like it's a long wait.

so THAT'S what that thread is for! :rotfl: I saw it but didn't pay that close attention to it!

Hmmm....I wonder if it's worth it?

I'll start exploring the options!

Thanks for the info!

has anybody had any luck just asking @ the onsite resorts while staying as guest on non-pkg?popcorn::

I just check now and there are some for bidding and also 4 for selling at a fixed price of $25 each . I need one soon and I am looking at that option.

Since the resorts are different from WDTC (the people who have the vouchers) I can't imagine that would work. I don't know, though.

OP, here's the rundown.

Toontown opens at park opening on those days. They delay things to give people a chance to get to TT. You wander around, and they pick a family of the day. Then they have a song and dance thing, and they introduce the family. After that I'm hazy on what normally happens, b/c at that point the skies opened up and it started pouring, and everyone ran for Mickey's house.

It's REALLY not that big a deal (and this is coming from someone who was part of the family of the day in Toontown). I wouldn't book a package again just to get this, and I wouldn't pay much, if anything, for a ticket. I wouldn't even sign up on the list for a gifted ticket; it's just not that incredible.

BUT we have only, until this Monday, been there at slow parts of the year, so I admit that might be part of my "eh" feeling about it.

Thanks Bumbershoot! Not sure if I wanted that answer or not!! I guess I feel like I need to experience absolutely everything at DL and that makes me sad that it doesn't seem too exciting.

Sorry about the rain on your trip, as if there isn't enough in the PNW you had to get it at DL to? :sad2:

Well, I guess if we happen to get them with a ticket package then we'll do it, but I won't be ebay'ing them.

Thanks for the input!

Stacy

I have tried everything trying to get tickets for TTMM. I am a DVC member and I cannot get them through them. I have asked AAA, Costco and Disney Travel with no success. I guess it's just not meant to happen.

I am going to ask at the resort. Just in case but if not I will just try next time.

What made it funnier is that the deputy mayor had just introduced the "bumbershoot's last name" family, and asked where we were from. I said "Tacoma Washington" and the skies opened up. Hilarious.

I mean, it had been threatening rain that morning already, it wasn't a surprise, but the timing was still amusing.

did you get any funny looks? :rotfl: that's bad!

Are you on your trip now? I hope you and your family are having a great time!

thanks for honest assessment as to the event...one less thing to stress about re our probably only trip to DL

Where did you find them for sale? What are they listed under? I've looked on Ebay and couldn't find it?
