Can you buy those 5 Hour Energy Shots at Disney??

DH doesn't think he'll be able to get through Friday's 3am EMH considering we'll be starting the day insanely early for our 6am flight. Can we get those 5 Hour Energy Shots on property, or do we have to take the bus to DTD and walk to the gas station? (I REALLY hope they have these!)

Last year my son-in-law purchased a bunch on property. They were pricey, but they worked. This year he will be paking a bunch in his suitcase. If they are less than 3 ounces they will go on the plane with us. He and my daughters love them!

I always buy them at home and bring them with (I've never had a problem having a half dozen or so in my carry on) Some of the knockoff brands can be pretty cheap too - about a dollar a bottle.


As for what is in them? It's mostly caffeine (same amount as a cup of coffee, but with much less liquid) and B12 vitamins.

Couldn't have made it through law school without them!

I can confirm this...my brother-in-law vends them to gas stations and mini-marts. Personally I have found it works just as well to take one of those multi-B vitamins you can buy at Wal-Mart and if needed you can always wash it down with a Mountain Dew or cup of coffee.

they have all different flavors...berry, grape (tastes like a pixie stick), pomegranite (my fav), lemon-lime (the worst in my opinion.) They sell them in GNC stores so to me that means they arent "bad" for you.

Your local health food store sells something that's good for you and will help. Ask for a multi vitamin with energy. They are filled with natural stimulants that aren't as harsh on your heart.

Do those 5 hour shots compare to Red Bull? I really try not to drink energy drinks often but when I'm at Disney I basically make myself go until my feet refuse to move.

We've been running errands all day and saw a double pack of energy shots at Target and just bought them there - but it's good to know we can get them at WDW.

To MareSINY - I had them twice before - when we did the drive to Disney from PA on last year's trip. The taste was horrific at best - I had to wash the taste down with my Coke. So disgusting. But they WORK!!

To all the Coke-haters - I have to strongly disagree with you. Coke is my addiction and I LOVE it. Love. It. I drink several a day. If Disney served Pepsi products I think I would have a melt down. (Either that or be drunk all day, as I'd have to resort to just the alcoholic beverages. ) I understand how you feel, but I am VERY grateful that WDW serves Coke. In fact, I think it's time to crack open a can as I finish my packing! See some of you down there!!!

GNC is a vitamin store "General Nutrition Center" not a normal drug store. They dont sell red bull and all the other energy drinks out there that have a ton of sugar in them and that make your heart race....5 hour energy is the only thing ive found that works but doesnt make me jittery and weird feeling.

I have to disagree on the taste...I thought they all tasted horrible. It was either the grape or pomegranite that tasted like flavored gasoline to me. DW and I drank them to make it through the over night drive to WDW. They worked for that job. I thought they woke me up more with their horrible taste than with their caffeine. I liked them though because they were that shot of energy without the volume of liquid. Without it I would have been stopping to pee every 30 minutes on our 20 hour drive.
