I called disney for room rates and asked the woman if I can add on the meal plan to a room only rate? She told me yes. I have been searching around and it doesn't say that anywhere. I already have park tickets. I want to stay at a disney resort and add the meal plan. She told me the price was $34.99 per adult and $9.99 per child. Does this sound possible? I do not need the park tickets.
I do not want to get too excited about this add on. Thanks again!

Good question, BUMP!
And can you add for just 3 days?

Unless they changed the rules, then no, you must buy at least a one day ticket to make a package and be allowed to add on dining.

Okay, I'm thoroughly confused now.

We're Florida residents, and I had planned on purchasing the 3 day for the price of 2 tickets. We're staying 3 nights. Only one day would the dining package really be cost effective for us.

So, can I purchase the rooms, 3 day for the cost of 2 tickets, and just one one day of the dining package?

Magic Your Way Plus Dining cannot be added to a room only reservation, however, you CAN upgrade your room only reservation to a MYW+Dining package including accommodations, MYW tix and dining. WDTC package rules regarding payment, cancellations and changes would then apply. I have a feeling this is what the agent meant when she told the OP she could change her room only reservation to include the dining option.

FL residents cannot combine the FL resident ticket or room specials with the MYW+Dining packages.

Where are these tickets from???? Is it a new deal? We have reservations at OKW in Oct. Are these tickets available then???

No, the meal plan must match the length of stay.

Sorry, but that deal is for Florida Residents only.

The dining plan is not on a ticket, but you must stay on site, and purchase at least a one day ticket to add on the dining plan. Everyone in your party must be on the plan and I believe have the same tickets.

And as the poster above stated the Dining Plan is based on your length of stay, not on your ticketed days.

Okay, I am totally out of the loop!
I am planning on staying 7 nights/8days onsite.
I have my own tickets.
I am NOT a florida resident.
I want to add on the dinning plan. I was told this will cost 34.99 adults/9.99 children. It will include 1 counter service, 1 snack and 1 table service meal per day.
I want to purchase this for 8days.
I believe from what the answered posts say that I can NOT do this and what disney told me was incorrect.
Am I getting it now? I am sorry, it has been a long day so far and I am very confused.
Thanks

Unfortunately, it sounds like you were incorrectly advised by a CM. You can only add dining to a package - room and Magic Your Way tickets. So if you already have tickets, you'd have to purchase at least a one day MYW ticket for each person as part of the package.

The dining is tied to the number of nights stayed on the package, so if you're staying 7 nights, you get 7 counter service, 7 snacks, and 7 table service meals per person.

Hope this makes sense.

I talked to a CM a few weeks ago, and she thought they may come up with something for FL residents, but right now the DDE card for $75 that gives 20% off of everything (like alcohol too!)

I'm finding this confusing also. Sorry :confused3

If a public code or pin code would become available (keeping my fingers crossed for Nov-Feb) could I get the dining package with it as long as I also book my tickets at the same time? I would like to get 7 nights w/ code, 7 day hopper (for 3 of us) and the meal plan (for 3 of us). Can it be done?

Thanks for all the expert advice! :earboy2:

OK so if I'm going for 5 nights in December. I already have my tickets but I can add a one day ticket and still get the dining plan for the whole 5 days? If that's true, I'll just save one day of my ticket I already have and add one on to make a package. I've been reading about the dining plan and really wanted to do it, but we have 7 days of tickets left over from last trip and couldn't justify the added expense for tickets when we already have some.

I have been intersted in this too. So there is no dining option for AP holders? Can we get an AP rate, all book a 1 day ticket and then add on the dining plan? Maybe I better get the DDE card. It is probably better worth it in the long run anyways.

Yes - this would work for you if you buy the additional one day tickets for each person. And you can add on the dining for each person.

Hope this helps!
