Can you buy points with your Disney Visa???

A 100 point purchase would be $8400, so it would be $84 in reward dollars (actually $80 plus 400 points remaining). I don't think that would break Disney. Their brochure says to use it for purchases big and small. To deny it would be a step in the wrong direction for trying to sell a new card.

I used my AOL Visa for my initial DVC purchase and got 6 months free AOL (paid off the balance with other funds, so never paid any interest). I think it was worth about $140.

It didn't sound like they were going to deny it, just that they weren't authorized to take it yet. Sounded like banking stuff to me.

When my guide gets back in touch with me, I'll post.

I agree that a Visa is a Visa, no matter what the reward affiliate. It is a Bank One product with a Disney incentive program. It should be accepted anywhere Visa is accepted.

I think that, like many airlines, double incentives should be given for any Disney purchase. I hope they consider this.

I spoke with our guide today, he said that you can put the purchase on the Disney Visa, and you get the rewards, but you will not get the 0% fiance for the first 6 months. Here I thought I would get the rewards and be able to pay it off over a 6 month period interest free! No such luck!

Now that's frustrating. I applied for the card, received it today, and planned on putting our 270 point contract on it so that I'd have my money sitting in the bank for another six months earning interest. At the very least they should give us the reward dollars.

The brochure says the 0% for 6 months is for purchasing a Disney Vacation package through WDTC. It must be a 3 night minimum purchase with UPH tickets. Minimum $101, Maximum $10,000. The rules for the offer are upfront, not in the fine print. I wouldn't have thought that a DVC purchase would fit this offer (although it would be nice idea ;) )

I was actually referring to the introductory 0% APR, which I would believe they'd have to give you for all purchases during that period. Anyone think otherwise? Do you think they'll have a limit on it?:

0% Intro Fixed APR for 6 Months*
After that, you'll enjoy a variable rate as low as 11.15%.

Okay, here I am, the test case. I paid for my add-on today with the infamous Disney Visa. Interestingly, DVC said that they were "fairly confident" that I'd get reward points for this, while the Bank One line continues to say "Oh, sure, no problem, a purchase is a purchase."

I'm paying this off next month so I didn't ask about the APR thing.

We owe a few more months on our DVC loan. I was thinking of waiting until I received the Disney Visa in the mail. Maybe I'll call, charge it to my reg credit card (money is already in the bank) and be able to say "Im done"
