I know that they would be way overpriced, but we will be staying onsite without a rental car. Is there a place to buy small grocery items (milk, cereal, fruit) onsite?

Yes, Fort Wilderness and all of the DVC resorts offer a small selection of groceries. Think convenience store prices, and you'll be pretty close. I usually take some groceries with me, and then supplement from the DVC or FW stores if I run low. They will have milk, some cereal, and some fruit available, as well as bread, lunch meat, cheese, peanut butter and jelly, chips, doughnuts, and an assortment of refrigerated or frozen foods.

The Hess gas stations on property also have convenience stores with similar items.

All of the resorts have a selection of grocery items in their gift shops, as well as a few fruit items in the food courts.

Depending on how much you want to buy, you could look at a grocery delivery service. We use Garden Grocer but there's also WeGoShop.

All of the resort stores offer a somewhat limited supply of groceries. Prices IMHO are high, but that's no surprise. You can order delivery from Garden Grocer or We Go Shop, but it may not necessarily be worth your while unless you are looking for items unavailable at WDW (like Pepsi products) or order enough to cancel out the delivery fee (at GG that would be $200); minimum order is $40 with a $12 delivery charge. We order from GG regularly, but we are DVC members and like to cook breakfast and sometimes lunch in and have snacks available. We don't do the dining pan.

DH always buys the small containers of milk at the resort - it is expensive. Since we drive, I am able to bring little boxes of cereal; breakfast bars and bagels. It does depend on how much you want to buy. It can get pricey!

If you're on the dining plan and eating at your food court, an easy way to accumulate milk would be to get the half pint milks there as your drink and just use your mugs for your actual drink with meal. A family of 4 doing this would have a quart of milk (4 half pints) to bring back to their room after just one meal. No OOP cost. Can do the same to accumulate OJ too.

:)there is also a grocery list from AKL that you can fax in with the items marked and prices also. I know I can see it on DVC website. I am sure hotel resort guests can use it too. I will try to post a link later

We always do garden grocer! It is easy and not too overpriced. Just put in what you want and get it delivered straight to your room on arrival day!

If you only want basic items like milk, creamer, powdered donuts and chips you can get them down at the gift shoppe. If you want more items, you should consider garden grocer.

You can buy basic items at most (if not all) WDW resort gift shops. Items include half-gallons of milk, cereal donuts, chips, cookies, juice, soda, bread, etc. And you can get fresh fruit and veggies cut-up carrots and celery) from your resort's food court. The prices may be somewhat higher than at a grocery store, but not awful.

We always eat breakfast in the room (cereal, fruit, milk, juice), then eat most other meals in the parks. It is nice to have a few snacks in the room, though (chips, cookies).
