Can you buy the dining plan when you are a DVC owner?

But DVC owners have never gotten the "free dining" promotion offered to resort guests. I know that might be obvious to most people, but I think it's still worth pointing out.

About the free dining: it's a promotion offered to purchasers of rack rate room/ticket packages through CRO for hurricane season. That's why DVC members can't get it. Disney doesn't need to offer that kind of incentive to get DVC members to book.

DVC members can buy the dining plan for the same price as package guests, but there is no requirement to purchase tickets. Everybody in the room must purchase the plan for the length of stay and it must be on your reservation before checkin. You will not be able to add it at checkin.

Yes, if you exchange into DVC through Interval International, you can get the dining plan. You will need to call DVC Member Services to add it to the reservation.

does anyone remember how much the dining plan costs? both for adults and kids? I'm having a heck of a time finding the actual prices listed.

We just went in January and it was $37.99 per adult/per day and $10.99 per child (age3-9)/ per day. That inlcudes all taxes.

The Dining Plan costs $38.99 per adult per day.

As Bicker said, the 2007 price is $38.99 for adults, $10.99 for childen age 9 and under, per night of the reservation. Everyone in the room must be on the plan for the entire length of the reservation.

The 2006 price was $37.99, and apparently emlutz23 was undercharged in January. An easy mistake by the CM.

ChuckS is correct, its a lot of food though we've done it twice and probably won't do it next time. Our thinking is to have groceries delivered, make our own breakfast and lunches and go out for dinner using the DDE.
