I am off to Hawaii on the 10th and wanted to add on at Aulani. Are you able to add on in Hawaii yet????

I was just there and did not see any DVC kiosks or anything in Honolulu...I was in Ko'Olina for a luau (but I was not right there at the property) and I did not see advertisements in the area....you're best bet is to call DVC and ask :)

It looks like there is a DVC storefront next to the Aulani property. On another thread, someone posted the following:

We took a tour of the model villas onsite at Aulani on July 21st. They have a cast member standing outside the construction barrier under a Red Umbrella on the beach side to answer questions for passersby and arrange for sales tours. The sales office is open daily in the shopping center across the street and parking is available there. They are just now getting started with sales onsite and I don't think we would've found the sales office (upstairs & no signage yet) if we hadn't talked with the beachside cast member. If you are going in a few weeks, I imagine that they will have more signage up by then. It looks to be another great Disney resort!

I would suggest that you contact your Guide and let him know you will be visiting Aulani. She or he might be able to arrange a visit to the storefront and have a Hawaiian Guide on hand to answer your questions.

If you visit Aulani, we'd love to see any photos you take of the resort or even of the DVC storefront.

Have Fun!!

I took the opportunity to photograph the latest construction of the Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, and you can find 12 images from earlier this week on the Notescasts.com web site under "Disney Notescast - iPhone/Disney Aulani Resort"

Great photos!!! thanks for sharing :thumbsup2

The points at Aulani are actually the lowest price of all the latest resorts.... check with your Guide, but I believe they are still at $114/point plus $10 discount for 160+ points. :goodvibes

My guess is, that if you buy at the models you may get an extra incentive like we did at the July opening presentation in DL = no MFs for 2012!

Where can the point chart be found for Aulani and when is it scheduled to open? My son just told me that he plans to honeymoon in Hawaii.

NEVER MIND....I'VE JUST LOCATED ALL THE INFO...

There is just some rule if you are a HI resident...I know when we added on last year, we HAD to do it before we came back to HI. I haven't been out to Ko'olina in a few weeks, so cool they are setting up sales centers!

The state of Hawaii requires a license for people to sell to anyone who is physically in Hawaii. So many of the DVC guides at WDW are not licensed in Hawaii and cannot sell Aulani to anyone in Hawaii. The reps at the Aulani store front across from the resort are licensed in Hawaii as are many of the California guides. I think it was suggested by DVD that the California guides be licensed and required for the Hawaiian reps and for all other guides in the mainland it was just an option (which most didn't choose to do).

I think you are right. My CA guide is licensed to sell it and has called me a couple of times to talk about availability...

I am just not sure I want to buy. The number of points required to stay in a 1br during school breaks seasons (Spring break, etc) is astronomical. And we like the 2br units. And Maui...

We bought so that we can stay a few nights either right before or right after Maui or the Big Island (our fav) :goodvibes We fly using HA reward tix, and they require a layover (ugh, which sucks). Now I'll stop hating "layovers"!

Big Island is our favorite...I love the Captain Cook area and Hilo. Volcano too and VNP. I do love that Kailua-Kona has a Costco and Target though! And Kona Brewing Company. :)

Hey us too! We got married at Hualalai and had our post-rehearsal casual get together at the Kona Brewing Company. And I LOVE that Costco! Oh and Merriman's! I love VNP...and the snorkeling right next to Place of Refuge :goodvibes Too bad I'm stuck at home....

Oh we didn't get the chance to snorkel next to the Place of Refuge, there was literally no where to park. We did kayak out to the Capt. Cook monument and snokel out there, it was amazing, and at a beach in Kailua-Kona, that was amazing. So many sea turtles!

Big Island Candies in Hilo, yum! And I LOVE Akaka Falls. :)

Ok we've takenly this thread totally off thread now...(sorry to the OP), but rparmfamily--you just have to go to Place of Refuge next time--it is just amazing to snorkel at. I think 10 years ago when I first went it wasn't as popular...now you can't even park.

FWIW, there's a Costco about 10 minutes away from the new Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa.

Yes, the Kapolei Costco is my favorite! So empty! (compared to the others, whoa!) And there is a new Target out there too. :)

lilpooh--we tried to snorkel but there was no where but did do the Place of Refuge (forget the Hawaiian name), it was neat. That whole area is so pretty!
