I am confused after reading some posts and then checking the Universal site. Can you upgrade a regular admission to FOTL when you are not staying onsite? I don't mean the VIP tours, etc but I thought I had read that you could pay extra for FOTL on a regular admission. If so, what is the cost? And is there a name for this pass?

Thanks for any help!

You can buy an express pass that will allow you to ride each ride one time using the express line. The price of this varies depending upon the time of year. I have heard that they cost anywhere from $15-35 each.

It is called Universal Express Plus. The price varies during the seasons. It averages to around $30.00 for the pass and it gets you access to each line one time.

Hey you two posted the same thing at the same time! :hyper2:

I guess great minds think alike. The only thing that I didn't know was actual prices so I ball parked it but I know that most of the year it is around $30.

So you buy one set per person? Are they good for one day only? The reason I ask is my DD will be 8 when we go. If I buy a set of FOTL tix for her and she won't ride some of the rides, can I bring them back the next day and use them or do they have to be used the day you buy them? She's not gonna get on Hulk, Dragons, JP, or Mummy, to name a few.

Peace

Papa Van

That is correct they are only good for the day of purchase. If you don't use it you loose it.

We bought them last week for 1 of our days. You can buy them just inside the gate, theres a booth and several other booths around the parks as well. They were 15.00 for 1 park and 26.00 for both parks. They say they are only good for one ride but we used them several times for the mummy and mib, they dont scan them.

Don't buy them for both parks. Buy one at Guest relations for the park you are going to do in the afternoon because the mornings are very quiet and its not needed.

Of course, all this could changed depending on when you are going.

Can you buy these ahead of time or only at the park?

Yes, you can buy them ahead of time. Try the Universal website. I think they sell them there.

Do you know what these passes are called? I couldn't find anything in the tickets section of the Universal website.
Thanks
Diane.

They are called Express Plus passes.

Keep in mind that when you order them in advance, you have to pick the day you want and the tix can only be used that day so if you get rained out or your iternary changes, you are stuck. Personally, I would only order them i advance if you are going in a very high peak time otherwise just buy them at opening time at either park. It only took a minute but if you are spending the morning at one park and plan on buying the pass for the afternoon at the other park, you must buy them at Guest Relations and not the booths, also just past the gates.
