When we go (we were there last Sunday) we put our small cooler in a backpack and freeze water bottles if it's warm outside. There's enough space for 3 sandwiches, small snack bags of pretzels and sometimes cookies. We take granola bars for a snack and refill our bottles in the park when empty. We are very cheap. We got in on the free birthday pass and bought 2 FL residents passes to share for the other 2 days of birthdays.
Hardly ever have we bought food in the parks and a benefit to that is our dd never asks for any either. We see so many whiny kids asking for more sugary drinks and food while in the parks, and their parents wonder why they are so hyper or so tired. I know what we pack is a lot more healthy than what I can find in a pinch in the parks.
