Many years ago (when there was still just one DLH) I looked into staying there overnight and was told that we had to book at least 2 nights. They wouldn't let us just stay one night. Is this still the case? :confused3 I would love to stay at one of the disney hotels sometime but being somewhat local I don't think I could justify the cost of staying 2 nights.

Sure! The only thing is, you can't do it through the Walt Disney Travel Company, but definitely through Central Reservations (room only), you can. In fact, some of their special offers and discounts and things USED to only apply to a 2-night minimum stay (long ago), but now, you can usually use the special PIN codes and things towards a one-night stay. In fact, back in late September, I received an e-mail with a special SoCal resident hotel discount - they called it the Fall Promo - that allowed one night or more at one of the hotels and it lasts until December 18. You had to call then and mention the special promo code (not a PIN code this time) and get the deal.

Thanks for the info! I'm not sure when I'll ever get a chance to go stay there but it's good to know that we can plan a one night trip sometime. And you never know, that Disneyland snowball might come at me again and then I would HAVE to go stay at the DLH. :rotfl:

Or...the snowball comes a-rollin along, and then you are forced to stay at the GCH!!!!!:scared1: And then you may have to go the DVC route after that...Oh, and let's not forget the week at WDW in your future!:rotfl:

We started out thinking that we would stay at the GCH in June for our anniversary. Then I realized that we could actually stay for 5 days at a nice hotel off site for the same price. Then DH said if we waited for him to get out of school ( :teacher: ) then we could stay longer. So now we are looking at arriving on a Sat and leaving on a Sat. So, even though we are no longer looking at the GCH, it snowballed into a bigger trip.

And I'm already snowballing 10 days at WDW in about 4 years when we finally get our kids out of private high school and we can affrord to take a big trip for the first time in our lives. :lovestruc

One night somewhere just isn't a big enough snowball for me. :lmao:
