Can You Book ADRs for MVMCP >180days?

I have read 2 different posts now that have stated they made their ADRs during the MVMCP when they bought their tickets, although it was further than 180 days out! How can this happen? My best friend is planning her 1st trip ever to Disney with her family and they are going to the party. So, this morning I had her call just to be sure she couldn't go ahead and make ADRs. They told her absolutely not, it must be 180 days out.
So, How can 2 others have done this, but not her? I just want her to get what she wants for the night of the party. Does anyone know?

I was able to do this when I called to order my MVMCP tickets on the 1st. When I asked she said I'd have to call back at my 180 day mark in June. I mentioned that I heard there was an exception if buying party tickets and she said "oh, you just want to make a reservation for the party night?" And we got LTT. I think she initially thought I wanted to make ADRs for my entire trip.

Did your friend mention that she had purchased tickets?

You can only book LTT or Tony's and only on party nights and only after 6:00p. All other restaurants (and ADR times before 6:00p), you'd have to wait till the 180 day mark.

Some CMs don't know about this so you would want to call again if you get a stubborn CM.
