Can you be put on a waitlist when renting points?

Okay, here's the scenario. My friend just rented a week at OKW and is very happy with her location, but would have preferred BWV. Is it possible for her to be put on a waitlist to see if something opens up between now and December? She is not a DVC member. If a waitlist is possible, can she do this herself or does the DVC member that she is renting from do this for her?

She would have to have the Member go on a waitlist for her. It's possible, but since generally BWV rooms are higher cost than OKW she would essentially be tying up the points of the member. Not that the Member has to pledge them or anything, but would have to kind of hold the extra points available just in case they are needed.

If your friend got anything at DVC in December she is already doing well.
