Can You? Advance $ (credit) for a cruise?

Ok,
I thought I read in the past about being able to call Disney and apply money for our future cruise.
I would like to put some money on our acct. prior to sailing.
I would like to apply $100.00 here and there, so when the cruise day comes I have some built up money for our cruise.
HOW can you do this? CAN I do this?
I called the Disney Cruise Line, and she had no clue what I was talking about!
Any Help?
Maybe I'm using the wrong Tel. #, or not making it clear what I want to do?

I've already put $350 in my shipboard account. It's a not a problem to do this. Just be sure to get a confirmation number after you do, just in case.

I called the gift number, which is: 800) 601-8455. You'll also need your reservation number.

Should anything happen and you have to cancel, they do refund it, right? And without a hassle? Does your cruise have to be paid in full before you can do this?

Ok, I called the 800#.....The first person had no idea what I was talking about.....
Was on hold for 10 minutes, then she came back and said I need special acct. services....
On hold again...... Then I made the mistake of asking:
" If I don't use all of the money on my acct. or cancell my trip, how long for a refund?"
Ok....On hold again.......

Bottom Line.....w/ out all of the hold time.............

I was finally able to put Money on my acct.

I used my Debit Card, and yes you get your money back if not all used, or you need to cancel your cruise.

I hope it gets faster, and easier next time I call?

Ok...Hint call 1-800-601-8455 and then Ext. # 61062 that will get you faster service...it is direct to the amenities desk for the cruise....

Really? I've called three times and never had a problem at all. I just asked to purchase a stateboard credit...Guess it depends on the CM on the other end of the line.

Glad you were able to figure it out, though.
