I was hoping to watch Wishes from 'Ohana during or just after our Thanksgiving dinner, but we finished a bit too early and didn't want to just sit there and hog the table.
I ended up being well pleased we did.
We toured the resort and took in all the beautiful Christmas decorations, walked around and toured the grounds, again beautiful! The grounds were really quiet and the torches were lit. It was all very special!
As it got close to the time of the fireworks we strolled down to the beach. There were plenty of empty beach chairs so we sat down and enjoyed the show. It was most magical and very romantic watching from the beach, as there weren't many people around and the view was spectacular.
In fact we saw Wishes 5 times and it was DH's favorite time for watching them!
I had read many know-it-all sounding posts here that "the beach chairs are for resort guests ONLY!" and I can appreciate that but there were only a handful of people milling around the beach area and the majority of the seats were vacant. If the beach had been crowded and we were taking seats away from resort guests, we would gladly have sat on the sand or stood up, but that was not the case. And I certainly wouldn't try this during peak times when the resort is packed. In fact, I would steer clear.

I wonder if Mickey misses me?
