Can we use the EMH mornings on the day we check in?

We won't be checking in until 3pm. Is there any way to still get into the park for the EMH morning? I know you can check into the resorts early, but I'm not sure how early. I'm also not crazy about the idea of going to the resort first at 6am! Any other way to do it?

Thanks

I'm fairly certain that you have to check-in at your hotel before you can use EMH. How else would they know that you are staying at a hotel? Someone else should know with 100% certainty.

You may need to show proof that you're a resort guest, so you'll need your room key. At Epcot, we had to show the room key and picture ID for evening wrist bands. For morning entry, we were asked to show room keys at MK, MGM, and AK. I know a lot of people say that you don't have to have anything -- especially during low season. My experience -- at various times of the year -- is that you need the proof.

We have always checked in early at 7:00 a.m. is when POR front desk is open. They inform us that our room will not be ready until 3 or close to that time and give us a card with a number to call to check on the room and when it is ready they give us the room number. We do get our Key to the Kingdom resort card that also doubles as room key and sometimes park ticket if you purchase them at check in. You will probably need this card to do EMH. IMHO it's a good idea to get it as early as possible as the CM's may ask to see it and I would think you would want to avoid the hassle of having to go all the way back to the resort and check in if that happened.

You coul also get lucky and your room could be ready. We arrived at POFQ at 6:00 AM and thought we would just check our bags head to the parks. To our suprise they told us our room was ready and let us get into it right then.

Checking in that early you stand a good chance of getting a room. Even if you don't, you can leave your bags, check in and head to the parks. You need your room key to show as proof, so there is NO other way to do it. You could take the chance and get on line at the parks but you'll be taking the risk of being asked for a room key and not having it. HTH :)

Our flight was REALLY badly delayed once, and I found out the hard way that WDW reboots the reservation system between 2 and 3 am. Once it comes up again, it's a new day, and you can check in for that day's arrival.
