We have the QS dining plan and was wondering if we could use the dinner credits at Teppan Edo. Would it be worth it or just pay for Teppan Edo ourselves?
IMO, if you have a habachi restaurant in your area, skip TE. I will bet you that the food is better, the portions are bigger, the show is better and the prices are lower at the place by you.

I agree especially it your kids are fried rice fans...you get white sticky rice at TE. You also have to pay extra for soup and/or salad. Granted it was a good meal but we were just not really overly impressed with it.
They do have a counter service restaurant in Japan - Yakatori House. I quite like the food there. Don't expect anything outstanding, but if you and the kids are just looking for a quick meal it is an option
The local Benihana is a lot cheaper, has a much more extensive menu, and gives you soup and salad with the meal. Teppan Edo's still good, though. I go once in awhile. I'd go more if they took TIW, which they don't.
