We received $500 disney dollars as a gift. We have a room/dining plan/ticket package booked. We will also have Disney Visa Rewards to use, so I'm not sure if we will need this much "cash" as the parks. When our package is due 45 days in advance, can our AAA agent use the dollars towards the balance?

Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks!

No experience with this, but I am wondering can you cash those DDs back in for US currency at Guest services in one of the parks?

I highly doubt AAA will let you apply disney money to their accounts.

Not with a package.

herc.

I'm sure you can exchange it back to US dollars. The Disney dollars are good in Disney, so I just can't see why they can't except the Disney dollars and in return get the US dollars.

I know AAA agency will not accept them. They are not Disney.

Disney only takes them back with an original receipt.

I say splurge on a few nicer dinners, get an Illuminations cruise, have some extra fun. The people who gave you the gift gave it to you not so you could turn it into cash (otherwise they would have given you cash) but rather so you could spend a little extra and have a little extra fun. Indulge them in their wish. Or I'll take them. :earboy2: :bounce:

Doh, just saw that you have the dining package booked. How about a tour? Or a Wishes cruise? If you have little kids and other family members there, a cruise might be really, really fun. You could seriously splurge and have a full cruise with snacks, a celebratory cake, the works. Or you could just indulge the kids in their every desire too. Or buy souvenirs for gifts.

One last thought, if any of those Disney Dollars are the $50 anniversary one, Ebay it. They're selling like hot cakes.

:)

I agree with the above. May I recommend the Backstage Magic Tour

I should note that I was being a bit facetious there. They are selling like hotcakes though, lol.
