I don't remember seeing double burgers listed at QS locations in March, thus reducing ( or eliminating) requests for extra buns

The only place I remember seeing a double burger was a Peco Bills - (not sure if it is still there ).
I also think I read they started charging for the *extra bun*.

No double burgers at Pecos Bill's. They just make 1/3 pounders now instead of double burgers. You'd be better off just cutting it in half.

1) WDW got wise to the "extra bun" trick.
2) They want revenue.
3) Thus, doube-burgers have been converted to 1/3-pounders.
4) And, extra buns are no longer available.

How about making it open faced with one bun each and slicing it through the middle instead of in half? Then you can cover it with condiments and eat it with a fork like the taco salad.
