Can we? Should we? A Spring 2009 PTR - New 5/6 - The TR has begun!

Your boys are adorable!! Congrats on the job!! I am so happy for you!

:woohoo: For Birthday parties!!

And double :woohoo: :woohoo: for the job(s). That's exactly what I want to do once we are done having kids and they are in school.

Congrats on the job - that must be such a relief!
:thumbsup2

Thanks!! It is a big relief. I felt kind of guilty buying airline tickets without a job. :rolleyes1

Thanks!! Thanks!! And Thanks!!

:woohoo: For Birthday parties!!

And double :woohoo: :woohoo: for the job(s). That's exactly what I want to do once we are done having kids and they are in school.

We had 5 parties in the last week and a half! Zachary's preschool party on Saturday 9/20. Then we had some family at our house after the party. Then we had cake again and did family presents on the 23rd. Then my birthday on the 24th. Then we went out with the kids and our moms to this awesome pizza place in Portsmouth (Flatbread Pizza Co.). It's like nothing you've ever tasted. Yummm.. They cook the pizza in a brick oven right in the middle of the restaurant. Everything is organic and local. They also have restaurants in North Conway, NH, Amesbury, MA and I think Portland, ME. There may be more by now. I highly recommend it to anyone if you are near any of those locations.

Anyways... I'm kind of caked-out and ready to get back to normal.

The job seems perfect because I can continue to build clients over the next couple of years as Zachary works toward a full day of school by first grade. Hopefully it's as good as I'm hoping it will be.

Aww, I love the boys in the bunk!

Congrats on the job.

It's October! 6 months from the month of my next WDW vacation! Luckily my trip is at the end of the month because otherwise I would be going crazy right now because WDW has yet to release April park hours. I'm anxiously awaiting, checking multiple times a day and refreshing like a mad-woman. :surfweb:

I know I can't make most of my ADRs until November - which works in my favor because Tour Guide Mike just finished the February Least Crowded Park charts. That means it could be a while for the end of April charts. The ADR situation will give him some time to get those done. In the meantime I can make our Chef Mickey's ADR at the end of this month. Plus - I'm dying to find out when there will be a Pirate & Princess Party. I'm guessing that there will be one on Friday, May 1st (just now realizing that means I have to wait another month for May hours :headache:).

Hope everyone has a great day - just think of me hitting the refresh button every time I walk by my computer. ;)

I'm patiently (or not so patiently) waiting for the April hours too! :surfweb:

Welcome! :welcome:

Magic Kingdom & DHS April hours are up!! So far there aren't any 7pm closings scheduled during our week... I'm still hoping for Friday, May 1st for P&PP - but there also aren't any other Friday nights scheduled to close at 7, so we'll see. There are only two 7pm closings in April - both on Wednesdays - neither of which are during our week. :sad2:

Whew! I'm all caught up. I have had so much fun reading your PTR!! The places you guys have visited look like so much fun. I have googled them and put them on my favorites. When DS starts getting a little older we plan on venturing out more on our vacations, so I am trying to keep a list of all the interesting things I hear about/read about.

As for the Pirate and Princess party, I remember stressing about it last year just as you are now. Actually, I'm trying really hard to not stress about it again this time. :rotfl: The dates that have the 7pm closings are probably going to be the PPP but when they finally did come out there were some added and I think maybe some subtracted so you never know. I do remember that they came out toward the end of October once they have the MNSSHP out of the way. They seem to keep with the schedule of only having 2 parties worth of tickets for sale at a time.

Congrats on the new job!!! :flower3:

I started reading through my Passporters "Open Mouse" last night to do a little research on water parks. We definitely want to visit one of them this time around, but which one?? :confused3

Alex is over 48 inches (barely) and Zachary definitely will not be. Both boys like rides that 2 people can ride together and it doesn't seem like there are too many of those at either park. Alex is a little daredevil and will go on just about any ride (prefers to stay in the light) but Zachary gets pretty nervous about this kind of stuff - especially water spraying in his face. I'm going to have DH do a little research in this area, but does anyone have any suggestions? Which water park would be better for our family?

If you're looking for a more tame park I would definitely suggest TL over BB. BB has more "thrill water rides" then TL from what I remember...just my 2 cents :)

Hi Blue! Glad you made it over. :welcome:

NH has so many great things to do - mountains, the ocean and everything in between. Right now we are entering peak "leaf peeping" season. Lots of tourists visit the state to see the beautiful foliage. I'll have to post some pictures for you southerners.

I know you're right about anticipating the P&PP dates. I just have to wait until they come out. If I can get through the next month I'll be in good shape. May hours will be out (for the last few days of our trip) and hopefully the P&PP dates will be out too.

Then we'll enter the holiday season and 2009 will be here before I know it!!

Thanks!! I haven't had much time to think about it more, plus I want DH in on this little portion of the planning.

I am SOOO late to this party, but I'm subscribing!

I have no idea why I had no idea this PTR was going on!

I'm sorry, but I'm here now!

The EMHs are finally up for April so I'll be making my first pass at our itinerary. I have a couple weeks until I call for our CM ADR. I'll post something as soon as I figure it out.

Also - This is my 1000th post! :woohoo:

Hi AMY!!!

First super CONGRATS! on getting a job! I bet that is one huge relief off your shoulders.

Glad all your b-day parties were fun and that pizza place does sound so yum-tastic!

I'd agree w/ choosing BB for a WP, there is so much to do there for multiple ages and they have the nice family raft ride too. The twins were just 6 when we were there, but if I recall correctly they equally liked many things in both the "kid" and "tween" areas. I think Zach would go on a few of solo kid tube rides w/ Dad or Mom waiting at the bottom. Speaking on the autistic side, then in 05 Michael was yet diagnosed, but had issues w/ water in the face, noise, etc. We went to both parks and he found things that were fun for him. Knowing that your Alex likes the thrills, I wouldn't worry much, I think he'd have fun at either one. For Michael since he's more on the calm side, I'd probably chose TL just because it is a bit smaller and maybe like the opne mouse says "disability friendly" but I think too, that can be refering to the walkways, accessiblity. Have you tired posting on the disABILITIES thread? to get some feedback there. good luck:)

Have a great Disney ay too! :wizard:

Yay!! Julie's back! I hope this means there is an update on the horizon. ;)

Thanks for the feedback about the water parks. I think we are leaning toward BB - I'll have to check out the disABILITIES thread and see what the folks over there think.

Don't go disappearing on us again.
