Can we share a meal at Narcooses using only 2 credits?

The meals are huge at Narcoose's. Neither of us can eat that much food. We are on deluxe diner no plan for a one night stay and going to Ca Grill for early brunch and will have 2 credits left. We then check into the same room for the next 4 nights using our DVC points. Can we do that?
I have read that we will lose those 2 credits at midnight our first night because of 2 separate reservations one cash the other points. I was told by CM at Disney dining that the system is not that sophisticated and if we use our original wrist bands the next day we will be fine; but not to use those wrist bands on the next reservation. Then another CM at DDP said we lose them at midnight. Anyone know for sure who is right?

The dining plan is only for your first resort reservation. You CAN use those two credits after you have checked into your second resort with your DVC points, but you must use them by midnight. They will not be available for you to use the next day.

Your dining credits will be good until 11:59 PM on the day you check out of your first (1 night) stay.
