Okay... so rumor has it that DVC is going up in price $3 a point in June. We are VERY interested - however - our parents are also interested - can we team together and buy the DVC home resort? Or do we have to do two separate ones?

Any help is much appreciated :)

hi: your best bet is to talk to your guide. i would imagine you could have all your names on the deed. the date in the letter dvd sent to us was june 3.

We teamed up with our daughter and her husband to buy a contract. We were the associate members. Recently we all wanted more points, so we bought our own contract and sold our portion back to them. It gave us all a chance to see how often we were actually going to use this and test it out for a couple of years. It turned out to be greater than we thought inititally and then we both wanted our own contracts. Now we are both working on add-ons too!! Wish we had known about this years ago!!

I had Disney put my children on the deed. I was told they had to be at least 18 by Florida law. The only complication to buying jointly that I can see would be if you intend to finance your purchase, but I am sure it could be worked out. Good luck!

We too have our adult children on the deed. Both DD and DS are still single, so there was no problem with the fact that FL is a common property state.

We purchased with other family members (parents, brother and sister). All four of us are on the deed, so we can all call and make our own reservations. We just try and let everybody know our plans, so that points get used and banked on time. We even went and stayed in a grand villa together, so that was fun! I think it is better to get all the names on the deed - this way everyone has their own membership card, everyone gets member mailings, and all can call and talk to MS.

As far as I know there is no restriction of who can be on the deed as long as they are at least 18 yrs old. I would check with your guide. We have our adult son on our deed. Good luck! Enjoy!;)
