Can we potter around Harry Potter World?

All me my dh and our disabled ds want to do is walk around HP World and take pixs. We don't need lockers, won't be riding any rides, so will we have to still queue for hours?

No you should be fine. If you want to go through the castle and not ride the ride, just inform the attendant and they will put you into the viewing line. If you are going in really busy time, you may want to go later in the day.

Thanks for the advice - we always go to the parks very early in the morning as ds gets up at 4am each morning, home or away. That's handy to know about the viewing line.

Agree with damo. We were there in August and I just wanted to add that the shops are small and can get quite crowded and overwhelming. Occasionally, there can be a line to get in Dervish and Banges and Honeydukes if it is really crowded. At those times it can be difficult to move in the stores. If you are a get there early person, most people will be doing Ollivander's and FJ first and the stores won't be too bad. Mid-afternoon they can be crazy crowded. Also, if you need a quiet place to regroup/ calm down there are tables outside behind the Hog's Head. Even when things were crazy crowded elsewhere, it was peaceful out there. If the door to Hog's Head is closed, just go down the alleyway to the left of the bathrooms and it will bring you to the tables and the back of the Hog's Head. You have a nice view of the castle. Perfect spot for sipping butterbeer.

Try to hit the insides of the shops early, especially Honeydukes and Zonkos. The inside of the shop are incredibly colorful.

As Smallworld mentioned the outside space behind hogshead is an Oasis!
