Can we please get to Disney! UPDATE 6/4 HOLLIES GRADUATION VIDEO

Now, this next picture was my birthday present in 1992. Her name was Buffy. She slept with me, went everywhere with me!!! She was my little furbaby!! We also got one for my sister in 1996 and his name was Beau, but he was black and white. I will post one of them together.
But, anyways about 5 months before me and Chad got married, I came home from work and she was in my lap. I put her down and she was whining. I turned around and she was dragging her back legs. Turns out she had a degenerative disc disease. For a while, they thought she was going to die. We ended up getting her back surgery. On a good day after that, she would wobble on her back right leg. Most days she would just drag her leg around whether she was walking or running!! Well, in 2006, Beau started having eye infections. They never could figure out what was wrong so we just gave him eye drops. One day he would not eat or anything. My dad took him to the doctor and his eye was leaking the fluid out!! His whole body was filled with an infection. They said we either needed to have his eye removed and the chance of him living would be slim or put him down. My parents actually considered it, but the day my dad took him up there he changed his mind!!! He told them to do surgery instead. Even having him for a month longer was better than nothing. Well....things took a turn about 3 months later when his other eye started doing the same thing. It was that time my parents decided to have both of them put down. Buffy had terrible arthritis in her back and legs and could hardly walk and Beau was just sick!! I still get upset thinking about it and it was almost 2 years ago!

Me and my sister both left them at our parents house when we moved out. My dad was really attached to them! But, here is a picture of my Buffy

Girl, I love me some Chip!!! They were always my favorites to get pictures with!! I will have to scan some more and put on here!! I have tons!!! lol!!!

where were you guys when you were meeting the villians (maleficient, the snow queen, captain hook)? it looks like AK but i know that's not right!

so sad about buffy and beau. :sad1: i love my boys so much and i know they won't be here forever. sherman just turned 11 but he's in good health. he is starting to lose his hearing a little bit but that's okay - we'll take care of him! they're my babies and i can so sympathize with being upset over losing a pet.

It was actually the old queue for 20,000 leagues. Can you believe that!! I was so excited when we saw them because I LOVE the Queen!!! She was in perfect mode too!!

I know, I love my furbabies! People don't understand that they are like family! They were treated like babies and they acted like them too!! I had a dog that was deaf once he turned 12 and he was absolutely fine! He just couldn't hear that good. I can't even tell you how many dogs I have had in my entire life. I would say about 18!
My parents used to raise Bassett's! I love baby bassetts with there big ole ears dragging on the ground! I just love all dogs! We have had beagles, bassetts, mutts, golden retrievers, dachshunds, shi-tzus, and more mutts!! lol1

We do love our pets, and it hurts us when things hurt them. I got teary-eyed just reading about your little doggie pals. I will full-out cry when my cat is gone. He follows me everywhere I go around the house. He's sleeping right at my feet as I am typing this.

I enjoyed the 'old' Disney pictures. That's a nice way to pass the time waiting for a new Disney trip! :thumbsup2

What and adorable dog!! Sorry :sad2: that is very sad.. One of my Shih Tzu's had her eye removed due to glaucoma. She had the surgery when she 11 and now she is 15. She is like a little demanding old lady now and drives us nuts :headache:. But her other eye is still doing well all this time luckily. We also have a 3 year old girl. They are great dogs.

Awww love the old pictures Heather! You and Chad were so cute, it's so hard to believe that 2002 was SEVEN years ago already! I would love to get my pictures taken with the villans!:thumbsup2

So sorry about Buffy and Beau :guilty: My little shihtzu Julie is like a little sister to me, we treat her like one of the family and shes everything to us. People without pets dont realize the attachment you get to them but I can relate. You guys should get a puppy for Hollie! (easier said than done since I wont have to be there to train it  )

Aw I love looking at old Disney pics. Thanks for sharing them. :)
I'mg glad you do because I am posting more tomorrow!!:lmao:

Awwww, its so funny how they are like little kids to us!! I love my animals! I haven't had a cat though since my Rajah ran away! She was just gorgeous! She was a long haired cat and her hair was black with like reddish tints in the ends. She was so pretty!!!

It sure is a nice way to pass the time! I am posting more tomorrow!! :thumbsup2

Awwww, how pitiful!! You know something funn...I always thought that shih tzu's were supposed to be all frou frou and prissy. Not mine!! Every time we would give her a bath, she would go outside and roll around at the edge of the yard in the soot from our fireplace! Then she would just walk right up to you like, "yeah, give me a bath again dummy!" It was so funny!!!!! I want to get a shih tzu again! They really are great dogs!

Your right, people who don't have pets just dont realize it!

We have a dachshund named Rusty and Hollie aggravates that poor boy like crazy!!!!!!!!

Okay, here is a picture of the dog we have now! We got him in 2004 after our other dachshund drowned in my parents swimming pool. Her name was Gracie and she was a miniature. She would have asthma attacks and seizures and we think she had one and fell in the pool! We were devastated! So, that next week I had to have another baby! His name is Rusty and he puts up with Hollie putting baby powder on him as you will see!!

I just hate that Disney couldn't have re-done 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea as Nemo!! Oh well, guess they wanted to spend the money elsewhere.

Very cute pics, I miss 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea too.

I want to go to Disneyland just to go on the submarine ride there. One day. :)

Buffy is a babydoll! So sad to hear about your losses.

That's the terrible part of having pets, when they are gone. :grouphug:

I have cried tears over my pets before. But I wouldn't live without them.:cat: :cat:

Lexi wants a dog, I just don't have the time for one because you know the responsibility would fall on myself or my DMom. ;)

I forgot to ask how Chad's feeling?

Rusty is super cute. It's amazing what our pets endure for us. I used to dress my childhood cat in baby clothes, bonnets and all. :rotfl: She would also ride in my baby carriage. :rotfl:

Sorry to hear about your fur baby drowning. That's terrible.
I do have to laugh at Rusty with the powder all over him. :rotfl: It's amazing what our pets put up with to get a little love. Like OneTreeHill, we used to dress up our dog and put her in our baby carriage and push her around the neighborhood. She would always have this humiliating look on her face.
We were at Disney in 2002 too!!! It was our second trip and we got a code to stay at a mod, so we stayed at POFQ. Where did you stay and when did you go? I wonder if our paths ever crossed??? Hmmm...

haha I know! WHo needs school right?!?! I will be a professional DISer! LOL
I promise though, next week I will have a fantastic TR of my October trip for my sisters wedding!

Oooooh, good!! I am dying to see the rest of it!! I keep checking hers to see if she has updated!
Oh, we are going in October with Chad's siblings to go to HHN and.....MNSSHP!!! I am so excited!!! Now I have to come up with costume ideas for all 13 of us!:rotfl2:

OMG Heather I am cracking up at that picture of Hollie putting the baby powder on Rusty!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
