Can we make it???

We are heading out tomorrow morning for a 4 day visit to WDW. We arrive around 2pm, and were planning on heading over to the MK to catch a few rides and then watch Spectromagic which starts at 8pm.

We want to get the HDDR review in during this trip, and were thinking of heading over after the parade to Pioneer Hall to catch the 930pm show.

Do you think we have enough time to make it over there? I am thinking that the parade will last about 45 minutes. If we sit at the end of Main Street near the entrance, and run right out to the boat dock, we could be close to catching the boat by like 9:05. That gives us 25 min to catch the boat, and make stops at the CR and WL before getting to FW.

Can it be done??

I don't think you'll make it. The Fort Wilderness boat is not the same one that stops at CR. It's too long though, and it probably won't leave immediately at the end of the parade (not until the boat is full at that time of night).


Also, HDDR is not the type of dinner where you can just walk in and eat. You would need to call and see if there is still space available. We booked this show over a year in advance. They do have a "wait list" window, but we have never had any success with it.

I already called and there are plenty of opening for Monday and Tuesday night for the 930pm show. I know that sometimes it can get booked up, but we have been there about 20 times and never made an ADR before we got to WDW. Only time we ever planned in advance was for our rehearsal dinner for our wedding...lol...but we had about 100 people with us that night.

Anyways, I don't mind if we're 5-10 minutes late. I was kinda thinking that since there were fireworks after the parade that we could catch like the 2nd to last boat. I know we would be cutting close though if we decide to try it.

We sat at the hub the other night for Spectro (7pm) and it was over by 7:30 ... so I think it was only about 20 minutes tops. If you were by the train station ... I would think you could be out of there by 7:30 or so. You need the Wilderness Lodge/Fort Wilderness boat. It should take you directly to FW. When we stayed at the WL, the boat always stopped at FW first. I think you could make it! Good luck!
