Can we make it?? AK to CRT in one hour??

Can we leave AK at 6pm closing this Wednesday and get to CRT for a 7PM reservation? Is there a direct bus from AK to MK? I thought I saw that there was, but I guess in a pinch we could also grab a bus for GF or Poly or CR and then ride the monorail? I don't know if it will be enough time??? Thanks!

There IS a direct bus from AK to the MK gates.

I'd not wait until closing time at AK to leave.
Depart by 5:30-ish, just to get a jump on things.

The actual DRIVING time from AK to MK will only be about 12-15 minutes, but the waiting for and loading of the bus can be slow at any park's closing time.

Direct bus is best. Dont mess with transfering to another form of transportation if you can avoid it.

The best part about AK close is that without an "Event" like parade or fireworks at AK, you dont get the mass exodus that you get at the other parks. Still, because the park closes so early, that MK bus is pretty popular, so the earlier you get out of AK, the better.

Could be done easily with driving yourself. Taking Disney transportation I'd do like Robo suggested and give an extra 30 min

I think you will have time but to be safe I'd say leave an extra 15 minutes. Keep in mind if you are leaving at closing that's when everyone else is leaving so you are going to be following a slow giant crowd as they exit the parks which will lead to long bus wait times. It should only take about 15 minutes for the drive there. Then maybe factor another 15 minutes all together from the walk from where the bus drops you off to the front gate and to the castle (just walk quickly). If you are close to the entrance of the park before closing you should be okay because at least you'll be in front of the crowd but I'd still say try to leave 15 minutes early.

You could easily do by grabbing a cab to CR and walking over. Its about a 5 minute walk and then just down mainstreet.

1. They began running several months ago.
2. Yes.

There is "direct" transportation between all the WDW theme parks.
The frequency of departure for each is approximately every 20 minutes, give or take, all day long.
Most routes are via Disney Buses.

Here are the "park-to-park" Disney Transportation direct connections:

MK> Epcot = Monorail to TTC, Switch to 2nd Monorail to Epcot
MK> DHS = Direct Bus
MK> AK= Direct Bus

AK> DHS= Direct Bus
AK> Epcot= Direct Bus
AK> MK= Direct Bus

DHS> MK= Direct Bus
DHS> AK= Direct Bus
DHS> Epcot= Direct Bus (Epcot Front Gate) or Boat (Epcot Intl. Gateway)
......Boats ("Friendships") make 3 interim stops at the Epcot area resorts.

The buses have their destinations shown on them on illuminated signs.
The bus stops at the parks are also marked with signage.

As a rule-of-thumb, allow 40-60 minutes to get from the gates of one park to the gates of another park.
