I'd say you're really cutting it close. You're not guaranteed to be seated at your ADR time, and by the time you get out and need to walk to Epcot, you'll be hard pressed to find a good spot to see the show.
If you arrive early for your ADR time, you might get lucky, all things being possible.
We just had dinner at Yachtsman on Friday and dinner was easily an hour and a half (without dessert). If you're going in December when they do Holiday Illuminations at 9:30pm you'd probably be ok, but if you're hoping to make the regular 9pm show, I don't think it's likely.
the yc is a very easy walk around 10 min into the park. youcould get the boat but sometimes it is faster walking. you need about 1 1/2 hr for dinner. don't forget they sometimes do not seat you excatly on time. you can see the high fireworks on the walk into the park/
Honestly, unless you were just going to grab an appetizer or coffee and dessert (no main course) not a chance will you make it to see a good part of the show.
I always count on being seated 20-25 minutes past the ADR time, then add 1.5 hours for dinner, unless it's at a quick TS place like Beaches and Cream...By then it will be 9:30....and you aren't even at Epcot yet.
OK, thanks for the advice. I just called and was able to get a 5:30 dinner for us, so now we'll have plenty of time to enjoy our dinner and enjoy a leisurely walk over to Epcot. When I first booked it, the 7:35 time was all they had. So it pays to call back and try to get what you really want!
