can we just rent?

We have absolutely no desire to rent a timeshare on any kind of permanent basis, though we do like the amenities offered by many. Can we "rent" them, if that is the right word?

We have a family of four, looking for a place in early October, 2004. October 3 - 9 to be exact.

Any info would be welcome.

You can book directly from Disney as you would any other hotel room on property. You can also arrange to rent from individuals. One way to do that is on the Rent/Trade Board here. There is also a FAQ section at the top of the Rent/Trade Board that gives the basics for this type of transaction.
