I've been needing one as well.
My Dad has given up, he's 92, in Florida and unfortunately, I can't do much since in a moment of nostalgia he gave all powers (medical, attorney & banking) to his daughter by his first marriage (I'm from a second marriage and the families never got along) and she's not talking to me, so I'm at the mercy of his wonderful doctor to call me with updates. My mother passed away in October (2 days before my 50th) and since then he's been depressed and now is refusing to eat and keeps saying that he's at the end of his life.
So my new motto is:
"Lord grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference."
