Our very dear friend is, or will soon be, an ordained minister. I am wondering whether it would be okay to ask him to officiate at our vow renewal. If so, is there anything special he has to do to be able to do it? Is there a charge by Disney related to the officiant? If so, do we still pay some fee to Disney, even if a non-Disney officiant is handling the Vow Renewal?

Thanks for your help!

We are bringing our own officiant to our VR. I was told that if he was going to partake in the activities he counts as a guest, but since you are already married, I don't think there are any requirements for the officiant. Fees? I don't know about. I was told that if a guest was going to sing for my wedding I didn't have to pay a vendor fee for him. I'm assuming the same would be true for the officiant. Better ask your planner to be sure. We all know how many different people get different information from Disney.

No fees! :thumbsup2

We're bringing our own pastor, and Disney just treats him like a guest. The only fee we pay is to him for officiating and, you know, for our marriage license.

The officiants on Disney's list are just suggestions, not official Disney employees or anything. So Disney doesn't care who you use!
