....if we bought resale after the change last year? I'm thinking no, but from reading the exclusions list it doesn't go into the complexity of purchasers after 4/2016 or whatever that date was.

This event is in Dec 2017. Thanks!

You can purchase a small direct add-on contract that will allow you access to these events.

Don't you love it! Disney takes away resale buyers ability to be a included in events but they will allow them to buy direct to be welcomed back into the "club".

This is the intent, to reward those who buy direct and to encourage others to do the same. That it "punishes" resale buyers is part of the program but it's only a punishment if you let it be. That they give you the option as such a relatively small buy in is pretty amazing and generous IMO.

Uh huh - pay a few thousand dollars for an event that just happens to coincide to a trip one time and no guarantees it ever would again or of how long they will do these types of things. I'd go for one of the evening ticketed events that is open to the public before doing that if I felt the need.

We purchased our resale June 2013, are we able to book the Moonlight Magic Events?

If you have a blue member ID you are included, if you don't have a member ID or if you have a white one you aren't included.

Is this a new policy for 2018 that it's direct or grandfathered resale only? I attended the MM Event Nov 2017 in Disneyland and didn't have any issue with logging into my DVC account and getting the tickets online the day of release. I'm a new resale owner as of 2017.

It changed with the 2016 restrictions so as a 2017 resale buyer you shouldn't have been able to reserve.

No, it’s not new. This is Disneyland’s Nov 2017 MM registration policy that you would’ve been required to acknowledge (see the last paragraph). Did they check your card?

I think they did at the party check in - I had a paper print out of the online membership card. We were already in the park and got our party wristbands from the inside party check in area. Clearly I did not read through everything in my rush to secure the party tickets. I wonder if they have exited other non-eligible guests? Gosh, that really would have ruined things for our family if we'd been booted out. :/
