Can we get a DAS pass for a concussion?

As an OT, I would DEFINITELY ask your DD's care team about what stimuli to avoid at WDW. Earplugs/protective headphones to cut down on auditory stimuli/noise are a great idea. Sunglasses are another. Take a look at the list of attractions/rides beforehand and see which ones are definitely out, maybe's, and doable. Remember, some shows are extremely loud. I think her care team will definitely give you a better sense on how she's healing and provide more recommendations (or even a referral to an OT). So sorry this happened and now you have additional worries for your upcoming trip! Hope your DD heals quickly with no lasting effects from her concussion.

Just chiming in to express my admiration for your daughter! Both times I had concussion, I was in no shape to contemplate either going back to work or traveling anywhere by four weeks out!

Post concussive syndrome for 8 years over here, I empathize what your family is going through. I wear a hat and big Jackie O type sunglasses not just for the sun but to block out visual stimulation. There's just so much movement, even in light crowds, and if your daughter is having trouble focusing/tracking they could help. I also use etymotic earplugs that help filter out noise (they don't completely block out sounds).

I have qualified for a DAS multiple times based on my issues. There have been trips where I didn't use the DAS for anything except a few character meet and greets and only rode the People Mover.

Be careful with any boat rides, even the tamer ones like Small World. The boats can back up and bump into one another, especially near the exits. I would recommend avoiding any boats as the bumping can cause a minor your head to jerk back, not perceptible to most people but extremely painful to someone with a concussion. 3D screens will also be difficult if she has trouble focusing/tracking- Philharmagic, Muppets, Avatar, Toy Story Mania, etc. can cause major issues.

Best of luck to your daughter!
